In 2010 David Townsend joined International Fire Investigators and Consultants (IFIC) as a Senior Investigator.
In order to ensure no potential conflict of interest, requests for investigation or expert witness services from Insurers and Law firms should be refered to IFIC on admin@ific.co.uk. Townsend Fire Ltd will remain available for other instructions, criminal defence and innocence projects.

As a former Officer with the London Fire Brigade (LFB), David Townsend has acquired a wide range of skills and experience in the field of fire, fire investigation and fire safety.

He completed more than 30 years service with the LFB. This included significant involvement in all departments - most significantly in fire investigation. In private practice since 2006 David has been called upon throughout the UK and overseas including Russia, Kuwait and Pakistan for incidents ranging from vehicle and structure fires to major terrorist incidents. Homicides to product liability issues.

David is a Fellow and active member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) and a member of the Forensic Science Society.
